Buffalo Bills Concept Helmet

So the Bills anounced they are unveiling new duds for the 2011 season. Yes, they said they will revert back to the white helmets of yesteryear, but here's an idea that's a little more Canadian friendly.

Eliminate the blue stripe. Actually, eliminate the blue altogether. Go with a "Red Wings" style color scheme.

And... if and/or when the Bills move to Toronto, having a buffalo logo wouldn't make much sense. I doubt they would become the Toronto Bills. So keep the logo and become the Toronto Bison.

San Francisco 49ers Concept Helmets

The 49ers pose a difficult task when trying to tweak their design. How many unique ways can the number 49 or SF be done and still look appealling on a helmet? Well, here are two designs that I came up with.

The top helmet depicts an adaptation of the 49ers logo used from 1946 to 1967.

The bottom helmet is sans logo, because if there's any team out there that would make sense not to have a logo, it's the 49ers. Their heads could look like big shiny gold nuggets.

Denver Broncos Concept Helmets

With the announcement that Denver is changing their orange jerseys from alternate to primary status, here are a couple of ideas to go along with that switch. I think a white helmet would compliment the orange jersey better than their current navy headgear.

The top design is the old colors with an adaptation of an even older logo. The second is the old logo with current colors.

Houston Texans Concept Helmet

Creating an alternate design for the Texans is difficult because they haven't been around that long. That means they don't have old logos to tweak and they've always had the same colors.

This concept design uses the Interstate shield. Considering Texas has more than 3,200 miles of interstate, which is more than any other state, I thought it would be cool to incorporate it somehow. Each player's uniform number would be represented within the shield.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Concept Helmet

This is the "no brainer" design. The current Buccaneer logo is vastly superior to the previous, but the previous color scheme was awesome. So the concept is easy; new logo with old colors.

Minnesota Vikings Concept Helmet

What is there not to like about the current Vikings helmet? Nothing really. Some may prefer a different color scheme, but the design itself is simple and iconic. With that, attempting a redesign of something that is nearly flawless is a challenge.

This logo is an adaptation of the Vikings anniversary logo. The white shell minimizes the purple, obviously, and brings the gold into a more dominant position. This would look good with a gold alternate jersey and white pants.
